Weather is the news

Now to see what comes of this. I would expect early release on Tuesday from schools and everything shut down on Wednesday.

Winter weather advisory remains in effect from 9 am this morning to 3 pm cst Tuesday, winter storm watch remains in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon, A winter weather advisory remains in effect from 9 am this morning to 3 pm cst Tuesday. A winter storm watch remains in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.

Timing, a prolonged period of snow will arrive this morning into Tuesday. Stronger system arrives for later Tuesday into early Wednesday which could bring heavy snow and blowing snow.

Snow accumulations, 4 to 7 inches today into Tuesday with potential for 6 to 10 inches later Tuesday into Wednesday.

Winds, northeast winds 15 to 25 mph Tuesday will gradually shift to the north on Wednesday. Gusts of 25 to 35 mph are expected Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Impacts, visibilities under a mile with slippery roads today into Tuesday. Significant blowing and drifting with near blizzard conditions in open areas Tuesday night into Wednesday. Visibilities down to a quarter mile with 2 to 4 foot drifts.
